Silver Pines is on PS5 for £19.99 / €24.99 with 24 trophies including a platinum. It holds 4.89 out of 5 from 1,286 player ratings on the UK store.

Silver Pines is on PlayStation 5 at £19.99 in the UK and €24.99 in eurozone stores, with the same October 8, 2026 release date as every other platform. It carries 24 trophies including a platinum, which is one more than the 23 achievements on Steam.

The PS5 version is the same build as the console releases elsewhere: no exclusive content, no exclusive mode, and the same three endings. What differs is the trophy list, the store pricing by region and the accessibility options.

Price and discounts

The UK store lists £19.99 and eurozone stores list €24.99. A PlayStation Plus discount of 10 percent ran during the launch window and ended around October 21–22, depending on region.

A price-tracking site recorded Japan as the cheapest region at ¥2,530, roughly €14.28, when it last checked in mid-October. Treat that as a snapshot rather than a current price: regional pricing moves with sales and currency adjustments.

The trophy list

The PS5 version has 24 trophies: one platinum, six gold, eleven silver and six bronze. The platinum is called The Kind of Moment That Lasts Forever.

That is 23 achievements plus the platinum, which is exactly how the two lists reconcile. If a guide quotes 24 Steam achievements or 23 PS5 trophies, it has confused the platforms.

The trophy requirements are the same as the Steam achievements: four collection trophies, three ending trophies and a handful of missable interactions in the opening area. The trophy guide covers the whole list, including the three boss-corps mementos that can be permanently missed.

Accessibility and comfort options

The store lists two accessibility features: basic subtitles and adjustable difficulty. That is a short list compared with first-party releases, but adjustable difficulty is the one that matters most here, because it lets you drop to Relaxed for a boss and return to Survival Horror afterwards.

Vibration is supported. The game is single-player only, with no online component and no co-op.

PS5 cloud streaming through PS Portal works, but it requires a Premium subscription tier. If you play handheld through the Portal, that is the cost of entry.

How do players rate it?

The UK store shows 4.89 out of 5 from 1,286 ratings, with 95 percent positive. The Irish store, on a smaller sample of 668 ratings, shows 4.91.

Those numbers are far above the critic average of 85 and slightly above the Steam user score. Console players who bought a survival-horror metroidvania got what they expected, which is the simplest explanation for the gap.

The rating is also a useful signal for a different reason: 1,286 ratings is a meaningful sample for an indie release, not a handful of early buyers.

Is the PS5 version different from PC?

No. The content is identical, including the 22 locks, the randomised motel gate, the 25 mementos and the three endings. The console build was confirmed at launch to carry no platform-exclusive content.

Performance is the one area where the PC version drew complaints. Reviewers reported frame-rate dips in busy areas on PC; the PS5 reviews we collected did not repeat that complaint, and no outlet has published a frame-rate test of the PS5 build, so the console version has no measured verdict yet.

Who made it?

Wych Elm is a five-person studio based in Sweden. Silver Pines was four years in the making, and team members previously worked on Yoku's Island Express, which won a BAFTA and was published by Team17 — the same publisher behind this game.

The studio's own list of influences is unusually specific: Silent Hill 1 and 2, Resident Evil 1 and 2, Alan Wake, Max Payne, Twin Peaks, The X-Files, 8MM and Jacob's Ladder. That list explains the game's tone better than any review does.

PortabilityPS Portal streaming (Premium)Steam Deck VerifiedHandheld

The content is identical across all three. The differences are price, the trophy list and how portable the game is.

Is there a PS4 version?

No PS4 version appears on the PlayStation Store concept page we checked, and none of the launch coverage mentions one. The PlayStation release is PS5 only.

That matters if you are still on a PS4: there is no backward-compatible listing, and the PS5 build is the only console build Sony sells.

Trophy hunting on PS5

The platinum is The Kind of Moment That Lasts Forever, and it sits around 10.5 percent of players on PSN. The rarest individual trophy is Ending: Live at roughly 14 percent.

That pattern says the list is a completion test rather than a skill test. Story trophies sit near 70 percent, so nothing in the combat is filtering players out; the collection trophies are.

The full route, including the three boss-corps mementos, is on the trophy guide.

Price history and sales

The game launched with a 10 percent PlayStation Plus discount that ended around October 21–22. Since then the store has shown the base price in the regions we checked.

PlayStation sales are scheduled by Sony rather than the publisher, so there is no reliable pattern for predicting the next one. Wishlisting the game is the only signal you will get.

Should you buy the PS5 version?

Buy it here if you want the platinum, since the PS5 list includes it and Steam's does not. Buy it here if you prefer a controller and a television, because the game was designed around tension and a dark room helps.

Buy it on Steam instead if you want the cheaper regional pricing in China, or on Switch if portability matters more than trophies. The Steam page and the Switch 2 page cover those trade-offs.
